Natural Conception Advice / Ovulation Tracking
Ovulation Tracking can be an effective method to increase chances of natural conception, particularly in patients with a regular menstrual cycle.
For this method to have the best chance of success, all tests on both partners including sperm count and analysis should be normal. It involves a combination of blood tests and pelvic ultrasound examinations to monitor ovulation and will help you time intercourse.
Your appointment will be generally between day 10 and day 12 of your cycle, however this may vary slightly from patient to patient, depending on the length of your menstrual cycle.
- Day 1 of cycle is the day you wake up with the period. If your period starts later in the day, then your day 1 will be the next day.
- The length of your cycle is calculated from day 1 to day 1 of next cycle. The average length of menstrual cycle is 28 – 30 days.
