Antenatal Education for Mums and Dads to be
All maternity hospitals provide so called “Antenatal Classes”.
Topics covered usually include general information about birth, including Cesarean birth, pain relief options in labor, breastfeeding, care of a newborn and advice about your changing body from a physiotherapist and a dietitian.
You will also be given some advice about what to do when the big day arrives, how to contact the hospital, where to park the car and how to enter the hospital after hours, when access can be limited for security reasons.
